Road and Bridge Closures
The Red, White and Blue Bridge on County Highway 57 (E.1251st Road) in Farm Ridge Township will be closed for replacement beginning Wednesday, July 5, 2023. The project is located 1 mile north of County Highway 5 (N.17th Road). The work is expected to be completed by August of 2024, weather permitting. Motorists are advised to use alternative routes around the construction site.
A bridge on N. 34th Road in Dimmick Township will be closed for a bridge replacement beginning Monday, June 12, 2023. The bridge is located approximately 1.1 miles west of IL Route 251. The work is expected to be completed in 3 months, weather permitting. Motorists are advised to use alternative routes around the construction site.
Sandy Cosgrove Road (N.2550th Road) in Peru Township will be closed for the construction of a soldier pile wall and slope stabilization beginning Monday, May 1, 2023. The project is located approximately 1 mile southwest of IL Route 251 along N.2551st Road. The work is expected to be completed this fall. Motorists are advised to use alternative routes around the construction site.
2023 Construction Projects
CH 8 will be closed for the replacement of a box culvert just west of CH 57.
CH 9 will be closed for the replacement of bridge 1 mile south of CH 33.
